Sometimes issues or circumstances arise where action needs to be taken against a member with regards their conduct either on the forum or in Private Messages (PMs)
If someone makes a posting that contravenes our policies the Moderators may ask people to refrain from the discussion, delete the thread or postings concerned or lock the thread. We will then contact the individual(s) who made the postings and ask them to be more careful in the future.
Should the same person breach the forum policy again then we may issue them with a formal warning that if it occurs again we may suspend or ban their account.
In the event of an incident after a formal warning we will either suspend an account for a period of time or possibly ban the account.
Suspension or a ban will normally only occur where a member has repeatedly ignored warnings.
Only in the most extreme of cases would anyone would be suspended or banned for just one incident.
An extreme case could be (but not limited to) racism, promoting illegal activities, spamming, and any activity that could bring Greyhound Walks into disrepute etc
Forum members should also be aware that we may have to consider issues that have not occurred in public postings but via PMs between members or feedback/complaints that we have received.
It is important to understand that these are guidelines that the Moderators are working with and as such are NOT set in stone and depend on what situation we are dealing with at the time. Our prime consideration is always the the harmony and well-being of our Forum and its members.
If anyone has any queries about this or any other aspect of the Forum please contact any of the Moderators.
